Methods of treatment aimed to enhance airway clearance for cystic fibrosis patients

In this ar­tic­le ana­ly­ses va­rio­us met­hods of cys­tic fib­ro­sis tre­at­ment ai­med to pre­vent ir­re­ver­sib­le chan­ges in res­pi­ra­to­ry tract and ac­com­plis­hed by cle­a­ring mu­co­pu­ru­lent sec­re­tions and pre­ven­ting or com­baing in­fec­tion. This is usu­a­ly do­ne with chest phy­siot­he­ra­py, ae­ro­sol in­ha­lia­tions of mu­co­ly­tic agents and ad­mi­nist­ra­tion of bron­cho­di­la­tors, nons­te­roi­dal an­ti-in­fla­ma­to­ry drugs and cor­ti­cos­te­roids. The ar­tic­le pre­sents the over­view of prac­ti­cal as­pects of this te­at­ment for chil­dren with CF.
