Methods of treatment aimed to enhance airway clearance for cystic fibrosis patients Sigitas Dumcius, Arunas Valiulis
In this article analyses various methods of cystic fibrosis treatment aimed to prevent irreversible changes in respiratory tract and accomplished by clearing mucopurulent secretions and preventing or combaing infection. This is usualy done with chest physiotherapy, aerosol inhaliations of mucolytic agents and administration of bronchodilators, nonsteroidal anti-inflamatory drugs and corticosteroids. The article presents the overview of practical aspects of this teatment for children with CF.
